A drummer is swimming at midnight in Seattle's Puget Sound. To his surprise he encounters a wild orca. Due to his natural rhythmic sensibility, the drummer finds that he is able to communicate with the huge animal on a non-linguistic vibrational level. It becomes clear that the orca represents a culture of deep feeling and astonishing intellect, joy, tolerance, and love: The Cetacean Nation. This way of life could be destroyed by the crazed rulers of the land, Homo Sapiens! The drummer swims back to shore and joins a lame pop band to gain media access and spread the word
